• I am a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) and Registered Nurse with experience spanning hospitals, general practice, community health, Aboriginal health services, research, teaching, and private practice. Throughout my career, I have worked with thousands of people living with Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, and other chronic health conditions.

  My approach is simple: diabetes management should be practical, realistic, and tailored to your life. Every person is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. I work alongside my clients to develop strategies that fit their individual goals, lifestyle, family circumstances, and health needs.

  My professional journey has taken me from major metropolitan hospitals to rural and remote communities across Australia. I have a particular interest in diabetes technology, insulin management, diabetes prevention, chronic disease self-management, and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

  In 2019, I was honoured to receive the South Australian Diabetes Educator of the Year Award in recognition of my contribution to diabetes care and education.

  Diabetes is also something I understand personally. My daughter lives with Type 1 diabetes, coeliac disease, and thyroid disease. This has given me valuable insight into the everyday challenges faced by individuals and families living with chronic health conditions. It reinforces my belief that successful diabetes management involves much more than numbers—it is about supporting people to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

  In addition to clinical practice, I have worked as a lecturer, course coordinator, researcher, author, and mentor to other health professionals. I remain passionate about sharing knowledge and helping people navigate the often-complex world of diabetes care.

  Today, I provide personalised telehealth consultations Australia-wide, making expert diabetes education and support accessible regardless of where you live.
